7 People Who’ll Inspire You to Live Life to the Fullest

1. Aron Lee Ralston
We all get inspiration from one or the other source; and some sources inspire us more than the others. However, there are number of people who'll inspire you, here are the ones who will inspire you to live life to the fullest! Aron Lee Ralston is a motivational speaker these days. He has a zeal to live, and this is the reason he cut off his own arm when it got stuck under a rock while he was exploring the Grand Canyon! He got stuck under a rock for 127 hours! He still does his favorite sport - canyoneering!

2. Ben Underwood
Despite the fact that he is blind, Ben Underwood does skateboarding, ride his bicycle, and play football, basketball, etc. He has developed a unique ability to echolocate - the sonar navigation technique used by bats, dolphins, several other mammals and some birds. He makes clicking noises with his tongue; these sounds bounced off surfaces and, with each return, added to Underwood's perception of his surroundings. He eventually died on January 2009 at the age of 16 when cancer inflicted Ben's brain and spine. He is a true inspirational story, though!

3. Bethany Hamilton
Bethany Meilani Hamilton (born February 8, 1990, Lihue, Hawaii) is an American professional surfer. She is known for surviving a shark attack in which her left arm was bitten off, and for overcoming the injury to ultimately return to professional surfing. She wrote about her experience in the 2004 autobiography Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board. In April 2011, the feature film Soul Surfer was released, based on the book and additional interviews. She has appeared on many television shows since the loss of her arm.

4. Erik Weihenmayer
Erik Weihenmayer (born September 23, 1968) is the first blind person to reach the summit of Mount Everest, on May 25, 2001. He also did the same for Mount Ararat. He also completed the Seven Summits in September 2002. His story was covered in a Time article in June 2001 titled Blind to Failure. He is the author of  Touch the Top of the World: A Blind Man's Journey to Climb Farther Than the Eye can See, his autobiography.

5. Jessica Cox
Jessica Cox (born 1983 in Arizona) is the world's first licensed armless pilot, as well as the first armless black-belt in the American Taekwondo Association (she now has two black belts in Taekwondo). She was born without arms due to a rare birth defect. She earned her pilot's license on October 10, 2008, after three years of training, and is qualified to fly a light-sport aircraft to altitudes of 10,000 feet. Cox has not used prosthetic arms since she turned 14. Using her feet as most people use their hands, she is able, among other things, to drive a car (she has an unrestricted license and drives a car without modifications), to type on a keyboard (25 words per minute), to pump her own gas, and to put in and remove her contact lenses. She is also a certified SCUBA diver. Cox holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Arizona and works as a motivational speaker and has shared her message in 18 different countries.

6. Nick Vujicic
Nicholas James "Nick" Vujicic, born 4 December 1982, is a Serbian Australian evangelist and motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. As a child, he struggled mentally and emotionally as well as physically, but eventually came to terms with his disability and, at the age of seventeen, started his own non-profit organization - Life Without Limbs. Vujicic presents motivational speeches worldwide, on life with a disability, hope and finding meaning in life. He also speaks about his belief that God can use any willing heart to do his work and that God is big enough to overcome any and all disabilities.

7. Patrick Henry Hughes
Patrick Henry Hughes (born March 10, 1988) is an American multi-instrumental musician from Louisville, Kentucky who was born without eyes and unable to fully straighten his arms and legs, making him unable to walk. Patrick Henry's national fame began in 2006 while a student at the University of Louisville. At the suggestion of Louisville's marching band director, Dr. Greg Byrne, Patrick Henry joined the Louisville Marching Band, playing trumpet while his father pushed him in his wheelchair through the marching routines.
